We’ve received some complaints about a rare issue on macOS devices, where a few users are experiencing a ‘Preparing…’ message on the app without being able to connect. Although reinstalling the app helps in resolving the issue, some users face the issue again after every reboot. We understand how frustrating this can be, especially when you rely on your VPN for safe browsing and accessing geo-blocked content.

The good news is that after some diligent investigation, we’ve identified the bug causing this inconvenience. It turns out that the ‘Preparing…’ hang issue on macOS devices with Seed4.Me VPN is related to our login element not activating automatically.
You can resolve this preparation issue by manually activating the login element.
Please, close Seed4.Me VPN Client and follow these steps:
Step 1. Choose Apple menu > System Preferences.
Step 2. Click on “General” in the sidebar and navigate to the “Login Items” tab on the right.
Step 3. Locate the Seed4.Me VPN application in the list of login items and check the box next to “S4M Tech, Inc.” to ensure it is set to launch automatically at login.

If you do not find the item Login As “S4M Tech, Inc.”, it may be under the name “Dmitry Zelenkovsky“.
By following these steps, you can ensure that the Seed4.Me VPN login element is activated automatically, resolving the ‘Preparing…’ hang issue on macOS.
